There really aren’t enough adjectives to describe the beauty of photographing Colorado in Autumn. Typically starting on the first official day of Autumn (this year Sept. 22nd) and going through mid October you are likely to encounter the most amazing swatches of yellow and orange God has painted upon the land.From almost any direction you can drive you will see landscapes of the Rocky Mountains painted with yellow and orange for miles! It really needs to be on every person’s bucket list.

Maroon Bells In Autumn

On the 2015 trip we visited Almont, Crested Butte, Kebler Pass, Aspen, Montrose, Owls Creek Pass, Ridgeway, Ouray. While the color was past peak in Crested Butte and Aspen, it was in blazing glory on Owls Creek Pass. Please see a slide show of images below.
